In London's No 1 Dog Walking Agency Kate MacDougall writes about her experience of leaving her job at Sotheby's to start a dog walking agency with a light touch and lots of humour. Kate doesn't feel she fits in at Sotheby's, for one thing she's far too clumsy, and decides, after yet another unfortunate breakage, and an unplanned meeting with a man walking the dog of an actress he describes as a close friend as a favour. This meeting gives Kate her idea to leave her job and start her own dog walking business. She has a wonderful turn of phrase, for example, when she describes an heirloom passed down the generations as 'passed down from mother to mother like an unfortunate genetic disease'. There are times when it's good to sit down with an uplifting, feelgood book that you know is going to make you smile and London's No 1 Dog Walking Agency is the perfect choice.
