I don't even like dogs but this story is so charming that I'm beginning to rethink my position. This memoir is well-structured in proper chapters and jam-packed with incident. Kate offers her experience of starting and growing a business alongside learning how 'to adult'. There is sound advice and frequent insights; plenty to keep the reader thinking and mulling over their own life and goals.

I learned plenty about dog psychology, habits and behaviour. And that of the owners and the dog walkers Kate employed. And I learnt about the many parks and green spaces in London. All quite painlessly as this is a well-paced book and an easy read.

The word pictures of dogs, dog walkers and clients are drawn quite wonderfully and often hilariously. What an assortment of characters! The anecdotes are just about believable and have an air of being frequently recounted to friends so they are honed and polished. There were plenty of laugh aloud moments.
