Loved it!
Took this away with me a week in the sun and really enjoyed it. This isn’t your usual chic lit and Loveday certainly isn’t the usual chic-lit heroine. And do you know what, that’s what make the book more enjoyable.
Loveday is living a quiet and lonely life working in the bookshop of her friend Archie (who is a great character). She would rather immerse herself in books (hence her tattoos of literary quotes) than deal with people. Basically, she has a dark secret from her childhood and that means that she avoids getting involved with other people as much as possible.
If you want to read something different, I would really recommend this book. I really fell in love with these characters and was desperate for for it all to turn out ok (because unlike other books it’s not guaranteed that it will). Enjoy!
