An Important Book For The Current Times
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can’t wait for this to be out in the world for everyone to read and appreciate.
The storyline is real and raw, it raises awareness as to people’s prejudices and actions towards others and it will certainly get you thinking.
I loved Maya as a character because she was torn between doing what was expected and what she wanted at first but this terrible event makes her a stronger person in pursuing what she really wants in life rather than shutting down and hiding away.
I also loved the romance aspect of this book because it’s not stereotypical or always happy and loved up.
For me, this book serves a message on par with The Hate U Give. It’s just brilliant. I could read it again now. I highly recommend it.
