I don't know where to begin!! Everything about this book was perfect: the plot, the characters and the setting.
The characters were brilliant and there was loads if character development. Maya was torn between the Muslim world she grew up in and the film carreer she wants. Her mum wants her to marry a boy she picked out but Maya wants to date her long term crush and to be able to live her own life without having to pick between her family and her future. Maya's story is so important as racism is so prominent in our society and Samira Ahmed addressed the issue so well. Love, Hate and Other Filters is a light-hearted romance about following your dreams but dealing with massive issues like racism at the same time.
