A delightful debut novel by an Irish writer, suitable for fans of Cecelia Ahern, Sophie Kinsella and Catherine Alliott.
I loved the idea that an airline check in clerk, Cora, might be trying to make her job more fulfilling by 'matching' passengers and arranging for them to sit in adjacent seats to see whether they might fall in love. Her cabin crew friends provide feedback at the end of each flight to tell her whether her matches have been successful or not.
Cora's life at Heathrow Airport and relationships with her colleagues, family and friends also provide much humour and interest.
This book is clever and witty and an ideal holiday read for women of all ages.
Eithne Shortall has now written her next book Grace After Henry which I am looking forward to reading shortly.
