"Love Will Tear Us Apart" sadly disappointed me just a little. I was genuinely looking forward to reading it after having adored "Don't Close Your Eyes" by the same author. However, the two were on completely different wavelengths.

Although I didn't want to stop reading it and still quite enjoyed it, I just found it a little too slow for me and though I was keen to see what the big reveal was at the end I found it disappointing and left me rather flat. Having read the story to the end I couldn't think of any big twist that could come from the plot and sadly there wasn't.
I appreciate the author Holly Seddon has put her heart and soul into this book - and has done a fabulous job in writing it - I just felt it didn't quite cut it as a psychological thriller and the contemporary fiction genre isn't really my thing.
Many readers will enjoy this and I expect it to do very well - as deserved if that's your entertainment - but for me I just didn't totally connect. I do still have "Try Not to Breathe" which I am looking forward to and I will continue to read more again by Holly Seddon.
