Love will tear us apart is a bittersweet coming of age story between Kate and Paul. The story starts in November 2012 and 1981 and we meet them coming up to their 10th wedding anniversary. One thing that did spoil this book for me was the number of times the story jumps back and forwards in both years and months, I don't normally mind books that jump in years but I did find myself having to look back over the pages to see which year it was!
1981 and it's the year of riots and the royal wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Kate and Paul were 8 and ten twelfth.
Jump forward to 2012 and they are off to a holiday cottage along with their children Harry and Izzy.
Kate has an underlying problem which is constantly referred to in a letter and you are left wondering till the end of the book to find out what the problem is.
This is a lovely story of friendship, families and marriage in all its ups and downs.
