The beautiful, bright front cover first drew me to this book and I’m so glad I picked it up! From the very first page, actually the very first line, I was laughing out loud. Katy Cox’s ‘M Is For Mummy’ is a realistic, true to life story of motherhood.

Lucy is struggling. She has two young children - a baby plus a four year with an extraordinary fascination of letters, numbers and body parts. Plus a husband who never seems to be paying attention and she’s also trying to juggle her career as a cellist. With a little help from her friends plus plenty of wine and Oreos, Lucy is trying to get her life, career and marriage back on track. But she knows her son is different, the word ‘autism’ hanging in the air.

M Is For Mummy had me laughing until I wet myself! It’s motherhood laid bare but there are also so many heartfelt, relatable moments too that any Mum can empathise with. This was a delight to read.
