This book was touching and hilarious in equal measure, and I'm grateful to Reader's First for sending me an advanced copy to read and review.
Lucy is a young mum who at the start of the book is giving birth to her second Son. Her eldest is 4, and displaying many autistic behaviours, but without the diagnosis she is desperate for. She is also a classical checklist trying to fit in and rebuild her career around caring for her boys
Her husband Ed is also a professional musician, and not the most helpful at home especially when he accepts a three week tour to America.
How Lucy copes with her life is at times hilarious, and at other times really touching. This book may well make you both laugh and cry! The struggles she faces will hit a chord with mums regardless of whether or not your child has autism, and this aspect is handled really well. I particularly enjoyed her relationships with Jen and Charlie and would recommend this book wholeheartedly. I shall look out for more by this author.
