I really enjoyed this book. It took me a few chapters to get into the flow of the story but once I was in I finished it so quickly. The characters were all really well developed and I felt invested in all of their storylines. Each individual storyline was finished off nicely and I did not guess the ending which is always a bonus. I did feel that perhaps the ending was a little too much of a coincidence but this didn't take away from the overall story.
I really enjoyed that the book was set in multiple time periods with the storylines in each contributing to our understanding of the other time period, allowing you to fill in the gaps as you read along.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and am a fan of Ruth Hogan in general, this is the second book of hers I have read. Her stories always feature great characters and an emotionally engaging storyline.
