I really enjoyed reading this book. I am a librarian, so I like to read a good range of books, including Children’s books. The book is really easy to read and the chapters are short, I always find this helps me get through a book faster. I found this book really entertaining, I enjoyed Max’s commentary through the book. It is about a boy called Max, who during covid, decides he wants to count to a million. Rather him than me!
It was intriguing reading about how the whole covid situation could have been seen through the eyes of a child. I think so many people forgot about the children and the impact of their schools being shut. Max is a likeable character and I felt myself rooting for him to count all the way to a million. There are funny parts in the book and sad parts too. The way it is written makes it quite accessible for a wide range of ages. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to read something a bit different.
