Incredibly Heart-warming
Although Max Counts To A Million is a children's book there is a lot parents can take from this book as well. Max decides to count to a million as a distraction from the worries about the coronavirus pandemic. Max's father is a hospital doctor and has to move into the hospital accommodation as patient numbers increase. Max's mother works from home but then cuts back on her work as Max's mission starts to gain attention and it turns into a fundraising challenge. Max gets support from his friends and neighbours and this is a story of community and family. This is an incredibly heart-warming story and Jeremy Williams has a real knack of writing with a child's voice. The book also gives great insight to the anxieties that children might struggle to cope with especially when grown-ups tell them not to worry. That's when you definitely know there's really something to worry about.
