Midnight Twins is a debut fantasy novel by Holly Race and is the first in a trilogy of books.
As a lover of the fantasy genre anyway, I probably would have chosen this book for myself. But wow, I was impressed. The author managed to create a new world which was easy to follow and understand without being over descriptive and complicated. The writing style is well written and holds your attention well - I read this book in a couple of days.
The main protagonist is a fifteen year old girl, Fern. Fern hasn't had an easy life but immediately is a very likeable character.
Fern is a twin but unfortunately doesn't get on very well with her twin brother. The two of them lost their mother at a very young age. This story takes the two of them into a different realm where dreams become nightmares.
I will definitely look out for the release of the following books in the trilogy.
