I had to put this book down on numerous occasions, due to how emotional it was making me. The way the author captures the pain of the characters, without going into too much detail, was rely well done. I thought the ending was a little abrupt, but it still provided the reader with enough information so as to permit closure. I am not a twin myself, but the thought of losing my sister, made the pain all too real. Overall it was a well written story about unconditional love, and the hope that life can still be worth living, no matter how much pain and loss you have been put through. I recommend this book for those who enjoyed The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas, and other books based on a child's view of WW2, and the concentration camps.
