I have just finished this book and whilst I read the other reviews about how horrific it is to read it is worth it just for the end. It does leave you with an immense sense of sadness knowing that these crimes took place in real life but the determination of the twins to find one another and the great joy experienced at the joy seems to rid you of all that misery. In the middle of this book I was unable to put it down and the story of both twin was enthralling to read and not only that but the other characters (Peter and Felicx) were extremely likeable too. I've not read a book by this author or one about the war before but I recommend it and it's something I will look for again in the next book I read.
