An unexpected delight from an unlikely author!
Being the first book of Anton Du Beke's I have had the pleasure of reading 'Moonlight over Mayfair' was a delight. From the cover to the blurb I was drawn in.
Set in the Buckingham Hotel in the 1930's it really captures the glamour of the period whilst still providing a thrilling storyline.
It brought a new dimension to the story to have a 8 month time skip within the historic setting. The dramatic start before the time skip left you wanting more and eager to continue to read so you could find out what was happening.
Overall the book is a lovely story and a definite page turner, one that I will be recommending to all. I will be keeping an eye out for any further books from such a brilliant author.
