Mothers and Daughters tells the story of a mother and her two daughters as we follow each of them in their own stories as they go alone and link together as a family. I liked how the story focused on the different personalities of the three family members along with their respective partners.
I found this book a very easy read as the writing flowed easily. I liked how as the book developed I started to understand things that the characters hadn't yet realised. Each of the characters had their own secrets and sometimes kept them to protect their other family members. I thought that the book handled some difficult topics well and still kept the overall book fairly light-hearted.
I would recommend this book to others looking for a gentle book that still covers important topics and I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
