I have loved Erica James for many years and have read most, if not all, of her books so I was so excited to get my hands on a review copy. Her novels are relatable and comforting and just a joy to read. This one is no different.
James gets right to the nitty gritty of family drama, the inner workings of mother and daughter relationships is just played out perfectly in this book. I loved all the characters and their dynamics, even the side characters were interesting and had real depth. There were a few hard hitting subjects approached in the book and James handled them delicately and with compassion. It was just perfect.

Anchor House was once home to the bustling Miller family. Martha and Willow grew up there, but since their father died quite suddenly, only their mother, Naomi, remains. Only recently, there is something different about her. A face from the past has reappeared and her life has taken an unexpected turn. But are Naomi's daughters ready for their mother to tread a different path from the one they'd expected for her? And what will that mean for their plans?

This book is full of new beginnings, family secrets, awkward encounters, personality clashes, family dramatics and a whole lot of love. Highly recommended and such a pleasure to read!
