I've previously read other books by this author and loved them all, so naturally I had high hopes for this book too. I wasn't disappointed. This book is set in a world in which the size of the people is directly proportional to the amount of money they have. So poor people will be the size of mice, while rich people will be the size of skyscrapers.

I thought this was an amazingly unique concept and was excited to read about the lives of the characters from rich to poor. There were themes that are true to life such as poorer people finding it harder to live with what they had, however in this book that was because they had to deal with the prospect of being accidentally stepped on by someone much larger and richer than them!
