Another great read from Lynda la Plante. I finished Widows recently and loved it. I was delighted to get back into reading about Jane Tennyson again. She is a fantastic character, a young diligent police woman working in a mainly male environment. She is now working in Peckham in the middle of a binmans strike. The tension is added to by the piling up of rubbish, you can nearly smell the decay!! Two murders have occurred in the same area with no link between them and different methods. The press are talking about serial killers. The team are under pressure to solve these before more happen. And more murders occur, what is happening? There is a race against time to solve them without the modern technology that we have now, just old fashioned police work. I cant wait for the next instalment!!
