This book might have interested me more if the social/ human history was the theme, but the examination of how murder cases shaped the law isn't a subject that I want to read about in detail. The introduction sets up the book very much as a textbook, and I'm sure fellow lawyers will enjoy reading it, but as a layperson it is not for me.
