The first few pages of this book have immediately gotten me wondering what happened to Becky, and who the heck is Ruth? I'm fascinated by the style, which appears to be the main character retelling her side of the story to an investigator.
I enjoy her speech style - possible working class MC, a low key rarity in YA fiction. The prose reminds me of Malorie Blackman and Non Pratt.
