Set against the escalating tensions leading to World War II, this story of intrigue and suspense kept me turning the pages. The style is easy to read and the pace is pretty quick, accelerating even more towards the end. The multiple Points of View format works well in this novel, enriching the characters and story. The story is full of twists and developments that kept me guessing, yet the plot seemed plausible enough to keep me interested and the ending was satisfying and conclusive.
I've not read any books by this author before but now I'd like to look up the other books featuring Professor Tom Wilde. A likeable character, I can see how he makes a compelling protagonist and presume other novels featuring him could be read independently.
