Night by night is a very fast paced psychological thriller. I was immediately hooked and wanted to read more.
Although this novel has twists and turns and always left your surprised, it was rather difficult to read. Two or three chapters in and Rose kills one of her daughters (unintentionally of course) in a car accident. I found this and so many other moments in this book too emotional to read.
The writing style was descriptive and overall flowed very well and easily. The chapters were also nice and short which made this a quick read.
However, I cannot say I liked the main character, Rose. At first I was quick to sympathise with her but then lost the sympathy because she kept making irrational decision and never really helped herself. Maybe having an unlikeable character was what the author had in mind and it is nice to see a change in types of characters. But I definitely didn’t find myself rooting for Rose.
