And Jack Jordan does it again. I could not put this book down, it captured me from the first page. Heart stopping, powerful, emotional and fast paced.
The main character Rose is struggling with insomnia and the death of one of her daughters, knowing that she died because of her has put a strain on her family. Living in a house where you don't feel welcome or wanted but feel that everything is against you. Then knowing that the small town you live in feels the same way about you it's a living nightmare.
Rose has gone through so much in her life and it is only the start of it. Not knowing who to trust, who will quickly stab you in the back and who is always there for you but you are scared to let in.
This book is brilliantly written and so fast paced that ou don't realise how quickly you are getting through it until it's nearly done. Rose is a strong character that you actually feel for.
I found this book absolutely brilliant and the last 100 pages flew by and at times I had to remember to breathe. Definitely recommend and will continue to read his books.
