I can not believe that this was written by a seventeen year old as the way its written is so wise and powerful beyond her age. You can tell Leila, the author, is also a poet, the way it flows which did take me a but to get used to but I was soon hooked. I read this book over a weekend and can understand all the hype about it.

Kiara is a fantastic character and you can't help but want the happy ending, aswell as all her own problems she ends up looking after Trevor her next door neighbour son. This relationship was lovely to read and really showed a different side to her.
