This book touches on how bad the world can be to refugees and how it is and has never been easy for those who need to flee a country whether that is because of war or not. No land to light on is such a touching book and kept me hooked from start to finish. I was reading this in my English class for the first 5 minutes and I did not want to put it down to do the lesson. I truly believe that this is one of the best books about refugees I have ever read. The title suits this book ever so well and I absolutely adore the idea of lands being in darkness. What really pulled me in when I saw this book was the cover. The mesh of colours really work together and highlight the significance of chaos and how quickly life can change even when it all seems absolutely amazing. This book made me think of how many other people who may have experienced or are experiencing a similar situation and my heart goes out to them. Definite 5/5 stars from me
