this is quite a hard book for me to review, i feel it has a good base for a plot, and especially with everything going on the world has an important message, it starts well, telling the story of a couple ripped apart by a corrupt system, when Hadi tries to return from Jordan after burying his father, even though his papers are all in order he is stopped at the airport, detained and deported, due a travel ban, his pregnant wife Sama is left alone and goes into early labour. the story switches between present day and flash backs to past, sadly i felt the style of writing let this book down for me (i read other reviews before writing this and it seems you either love the style of find it hard to follow) i found it had to keep up as it switch characters and sometimes it written in the third person and other times in the first, i feel bad writing this review as it i feel it has a very important message, but for me i found the story to hard to follow and really didn't like the ending,
