I liked it
I don't think I would pick up this book from a shop, as it's not my first go-to genre, however I really enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. The book is very moving and tells the story of Hadi and Sama, Syrian refugees who find themselves separated with the introduction of a new travel ban from America. The chapters were a good length, and it didn't take me too long to read. I also enjoyed how the chapters varied between the point of view of Sama and Hadi. The front cover is also gorgeous, and really grabs the attention of potential readers.
I don't think I was as gripped by this book as other very similar stories about the Syrian crisis, however, it was definitely still emotional and moving. I would highly recommend this book to others looking for a moving story, or anyone who enjoys reading fiction based upon real-life events.it was great I just didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would
