I read the prequel to this book in a day and therefore when I new 'No Shame' was being released I was strongly anticipating it. I was amazed at the honesty and truthfulness with which Cassidy writes, the topic is of a young girl who is raped by an older man after his brother gains her trust while she is in a vulnerable family situation.

Stacey's decision to come forward at the end of 'No Virgin' is applauded but the situation is not detailed lightly in this sequel which provides a necessary light shed upon the horrible situation that is a rape. The story is based around a situation that many underage - and of age - girls could get themselves into and therefore Cassidy's book emphasising the importance of coming forward after something like this happens, no matter how difficult, is an absolutely crucial and not often seen message in young adult literature to send to girls in this day and age.
