The cover is attractive with only the smallest hint (an ornamental comb) that the story is going to be about hair.
There are a lot of characters introduced in this 30 page extract and I initially found it a bit confusing to sort out each of their relationships to Norma and her mother, Anita. looking forward to reading the rest of the book now my curiosity has been tweaked.
