First of all, congratulations to the publisher on the look and feel of this book, it was a pleasure to pick it up, the binding and paper were good and made it easy and enjoyable to read. I find this is all too rare in English editions.
The novel itself I found hard going- I quite liked the premise, but there was little narrative drive, and it soon became confusing. I did persist, but was defeated before the end. It was a shame because I am sure there was a fascinating book lurking in there somewhere. There seemed to be too many elements muddying the plot, and you never really seem to get drawn to the characters. Still, I'll give it to one of my daughters to see if she can make more of it.
