it took me a while to understand the flow of this book, but I'm still not sure that I didn't miss something major to the plot..
The book starts with the funeral of Norma's mother who has jumped in front of a train.
Over the years Norma's mother has been protecting Norma, as Norma has supernatural hair. She can sense danger by the way her reacts and there are people at the funeral which are making her hair tingle.
The story then started to confuse me. There are a lot of characters with similar names and the story tells the current story, but the story from a lady, Eva, who appears to a be a relative of Norma's who had the same hair. The current story is a mixture of the hait trade and baby farms. It was enjpyable when I got the rhythm of it, but it took a while.
