I found the writing to be quite tedious and hard work to persevere with. It was clunky in places and I didn't enjoy reading it so stopped. Perhaps if this is a style of book you enjoy, then it might be worth giving it a go but I wouldn't recommend. What I loved about this book, that finally apocalyptic is about viruses and not about zombies, which are pretty boring theme. But I didn't red first book of series,so it was very difficult to catch up with a characters. It's packed full of action, tense throughout and set in a truly frightening dystopia of rampant viral infections in a future depleted America locked in a no-holds-barred bio war between the North and the South. America split into two halves. The losing side ravaged by virus and illness and the winning side tormented by dictatorship. The story was interesting, but not that I would read it per day,as usually. I think,I need to read a first book now,to better understand.
