This was such a good read. I started reading the book when it arrived and had only meant to read just a little bit at the time, well before I knew it I was half way through.
The story is so well written and the writing style flows so easily. I didn't know very much about Wilbur Smith before reading On Leopard Rock but my goodness what an exciting and adventurous life he has lived!
The book does stay away from stories about his family life etc but there is so much else going on that it most definitely isn't needed to make the book any better.
I'm glad that I had a chance to read this book as I would not have read anything else by Wilbur smith. Now I have added some of his books to my list and can't wait to get reading some more.
