I am still reading this book but what I have read so far is really good stuff it starts out with everyone dancing in the ballroom and the main character Raymond got asked to dance with a old lady called Mrs adelman then it turns out Mrs adelman was sent by his mother I think to tell him that his brothers coming home then the book goes to Nancy Nettleton who has just got a job as a chambermaid the writer tell you in detail how she arrives there on the tube and describes how it's cramped and how it smells like people and there is a homeless man looking at her from the other side of the seat from where she is sitting and then when she arrives at the Buckingham hotel describing her coat how it had stitches in made by different types of tread.
