I really enjoyed this book. It kept my interest throughout. Written in short chapters, you could dip in and out, or devour chunks. There are numerous characters, the teenagers and their families intertwine through the course of the story. That said it doesn't get complicated keeping track of everyone, they have diverse characters and I didn't get weighed down with emotions of just one person.
All the characters felt believable, their feelings and connections alternate between profound sadness and happy 'real' moments in their lives. It is very poignant in places, with real fears and devastating consequences.
What I really like is it doesn't rush to conclude. There is plenty to think about.
