So there's not a lot to go on with this first look, it's probably the shortest one I've read from the site.
The first little snippet is hauntingly descriptive and I personally really enjoyed the style of writing. It gave me a very clear and detailed image of what was happening and the setting of the scene is very well done.
The second section introduces a new character that I don't quite like as much but I don't think you're supposed to like her as much. She's clearly suffering with loss and depression and trying to put a brave face on which I think is probably an accurate response to losing a child in the way that she has.
Like I said originally, there's not loads to go on, but I would like to read more and discover more about the book.
