Having read Sanjida Kay’s previous book “My Mother’s Secret” and having really enjoyed it, I would love to read her latest publication “One Year Later”.
I remember describing “My Mother’s Secret” as being real potential for a scratch n sniff book, such were the fabulous aromatic descriptions the author used in her sentences. If her latest book is as descriptive, I know it will be a joy and a pleasure to read. She always writes with such sensitive emotion too and is an author I really admire.
The premise of the story is highly intriguing and is something I would definitely find entertaining. With a beautiful cover and an instant pull to join an idyllic Italian Island as a setting this makes it an all round promising read.
I would have loved to have continued with the story after reading the initial few pages, the prologue certainly invoked an immediate intrigue and the opening chapter from Amy’s viewpoint created an emotion in me that I wanted to follow further.
Women’s psychological fiction is always a genre I particularly enjoy reading and I would love to be considered to read and review this book fully.
