I hadn't read anything by Krystal Sutherland before, nor had I heard of her so I wasn't really sure what to expect when I picked up Our Chemical Hearts to read, other than that the front cover was so eye catching it was the reason I brought it.
"I always thought the moment you met the love of your life would be more like the movies..." The first line from the blurb, a quote taken from the book - reeled me in along with the cover - I'm a sucker for a good romance novel. Especially something YA!
After reading the blurb for this, I genuinely thought it would be a nice easy read; typical boy-meets-girl, boy-fixes-girl kind of book. I was wrong.
I loved this book so much, like i do many books but this was somehow different.
Giving this book 5*'s as I enjoyed it so much, I read it all in one sitting. This book is adventurous and full of mystery - with the main girl, Grace having a secret that Henry wants to discover in hopes that knowing will unravel the mystery that is Grace. Henry is a boy feeling his first love and wants to fix grace as much as possible - a teenage heart break of a story in so many ways right from the start. Highly recommend this for everybody's to read list.
