Oh my god was this a slog, this was so unbelievably boring.
Basically the whole premise is a group of disparate people who were once friends all shacked up together with the owner Senderovsky, his wife and their well supposedly I guess child, but from what I understand I think she was adopted.
The other characters by turns spent the whole book either bed hopping or just arguing with all the rest.
They all seemed to hate each other and it was one long, tedious game of point scoring and from the first few pages I knew this was going to be a struggle.
It was dull, lack lustre, for me basically no cohesive plot I could make out.
I hated every character, I couldn't find one redeeming feature in any of them or at most enough to care what happened to them.
Vinod was about the best.
First and last book by this author.
Definitely not for me and I really don't care how many accolades or awards he has won.
I read for pleasure not to read 317 pages of rows and hedonistic orgies with zero plot.
Absolutely awful.
