I was captivated by this book from the moment I read the synopsis, as it reminded me of the Decameron of Boccaccio. I have to say this book was quite good, and I give it 3.75 stars, 4 stars (rounded up). The book was very well written, and is written from the point of view of all the characters. The author writes every chapter from the point of view of the different characters involved and they do so smoothly, it is like a transition in a film, and the story progresses quite well.
The characters are written quite well, all with their own distinct personalities, flaws and great qualities. I loved the close relationships between the characters, both those who had known each other for longer, and those who hadn't.
The cover looks fantastic, and I think the book would like even better with sprayed edges. I might try to make them myself to see how it turns out. The illustration on the main cover is brilliant and in a great, simple style.
I recommend this book, as it is such a truthful, funny and light-hearted (except the ending) story.
