When I read the blurb about this book I was really drawn to it, sounded like a great idea for a story. A story about our times, life during the pandemic and a group of friends who come together to sit out the virus.
The start of the book really held my attention as the friends started to arrive and find their accommodation, it is a real mixed group of people from different walks of life. At first the group follow social distancing and keep away from each other, but after two weeks when they don't worry about it any more the reader begins to see how the characters relate to each other.
I am afraid although I tried very hard, I struggled to keep my interest in the storyline and at about three quarters of the way through gave up, I really don't like not finishing a book that I have started, but I am afraid this one was not really for me. I think it is well written and if this is your kind of thing I think you will probably love it but sadly it isn't mine.
