I can't say I often read stories with a plot like this one, but I actually really adored it. The main character's point of view is interesting and the way her ex husband is described through her eyes is engaging.
Something I loved is that we get a quick build up- I personally loathe having to wait a load of chapters for it to actually get good. This had me hooked from the very beginning. The fact that she is aware of what he is doing- or did do- to her mentally and she is now more able to realize it is amazingly well written. As is the internal battle to separate the man she fell for and the man she knows he is. The interactions with other characters, her realisation as to the gravity of the situation, her internal monologue- it's all done beautifully.
I am desperate to know exactly how the story plays out now so I am on my way to read the whole book. Thanks!
