This novel is absolutely breathtaking. Piranesi is keeping a journal. But the writing is so descriptive and nearly lyrical. It is a story of someone trying to chart uncharted territory. I can tell that this novel is going to be all about storytelling and I am all for it! Understanding the excerpt took some time, but was totally worth it. This is probably the most excited I have ever been to read a book. This book is complex and it challenges the reader on an intellectual level.
