Absolutely fascinating

Well, I’m not sure how to review this fantastic book without giving too much away! I was confused for probably the first quarter of the book but intrigued! The book is set out as entries in a journal. The entries gradually start to build and more of the story is revealed slowly bit by bit. I wanted to keep reading, didn’t want to put it down, I needed to know what was happening, who people were and just what this strange world full of vestibules, halls and statues was! Halfway through the book you can start to piece things together, like clues that Piranesi starts to find randomly around his world. I really enjoyed trying to figure this all out, I do love a good mystery.
This is probably one of the strangest books I’ve read and yet I loved it for that reason. The characters are well written and everything is described so beautifully you can picture every statue and Albatross!!
I’ll definitely be rereading this at some point 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
