Really unique and interesting
I don't really know what I was expecting when I started this book but this was a crazy, dark story. I have no idea what genre this would even fall under, it was so unlike anything I've ever read before. I enjoyed the format of this book a lot, it was split into parts and then the parts were journal entries. This is a first person story from Piranesi's point of view, we see what he sees and it really adds to the mystery of this book. I did think this book explored loneliness in a different way than usual.
This book took a much darker turn than I was expecting but it worked really well. I loved that each part built up the mystery and then it unravelled nicely at the end. Overall a very enjoyable book that is very mysterious and almost like putting together a puzzle. It was very well put together and the format was enjoyable. I would recommend and will likely read more by this author.
