A fantastic and funny look at modern motherhood . Told in diary form it is the story of Mum Frankie and her two daughters , teenage Flo and three year old Jess . It perfectly describes the frenetic life of a working single mother , who is trying to be so many things at once .
I loved the listing of how much prosecco and how many jaffa cakes were consumed on a daily basis (this from a reader who once ate a whole packet of jaffa cakes while reading a good book ) The behaviour of little Jess and her remarks must surely ring a bell with any mother of a little girl . Oh those embarrassing moments ! There are many laugh out loud minutes , so be warned , don't read this on the bus or train or you will attract those pitying stares from other passengers !
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope there will be a sequel to come as I want to know what happens next ! Will Frankie enjoy working at Chapter One ?Will she find a soulmate ?
