I really liked the overall morale of the tale and the idea that this book can help inspire a generation of young people to believe in themselves and not be affect by people's opinions as one of the main focuses is a powerful feminist message of determination.
I loved seeing the exploration of the main character's personality as her actions come full-circle. I also love the fact that the 'darkness' tries to stop her.
I love the book cover of the shattered apple: It reminds me of a shattered heart which for me made me drawn to it immediately.
My overall right is a 3 as I liked the short, snappy chapters and the fact that the overall message is a positive one however, it isn't particularly my cup of tea as I found it really difficult to feel for the characters and I feel that the writing style, as well as the story, was aimed towards a much younger audience than myself.
